After my last post, I got some comments from people I didn't know were reading my blog. And now, I'm curious! If you are reading my blog, and if you don't mind doing so, would you post a quick comment as to how you found me? I started this blog as just an outlet for me, and have quickly found many people in my situation that I can connect with, and it's wonderful! I have some absolutely fantastic friends here in my town, but only a few of them truly understand this "foster world". It's been so nice to connect with other people through this blog who are in the trenches of fostering.
So, drop me a line, I'd love to meet you! Even if you are not a foster parent, and are just reading my blog for kicks and giggles, drop me a line! Please????

I am not sure how I found your blog, I usually follow other peoples links and see where I end up. I have a blog too but don't update often.
I am Mom to 4 great kids, 2 home grown and 2 foster. One of my wee ones is being adopted in the next 2 weeks.
Its been an amazing journey, good and bad! We have been travelling this road for nearly 13 years. WOW! Who would have thought I would make it that long.
Anyway thanks for your posts, I love to read how other people deal with "life" and the similar issues we share.
Blessings

I either clicked on your name in my comments section or followed you from another blog. I know that doesn't really help too much.
We're relatively new foster parents - just since October 06. Have had three placements so far (one for 10 weeks, one for 6 weeks and one for going on 10 months).
Hi
I have been reading your blog since last June (or around there). I found your blog through another blog. I am also a foster parent. I have been one for 2 years this time and 3 years before we started our family. I have 6 children in my home. 1 adopted, 3 by birth and 2 foster children who will have their TPR trail April 1st. We are going to adopt them also. I do not think that we are done and we are even thinking about another placement right now!
God bless!!
Rebecca
P.S. We are changing the names of our placements. The oldest is 4 and we are going about it very slowly. We found a nickname that could be used for both her birth name and the one we are giving her. So now we call her by her nickname.
I found you on someone elses blog roll. Or rather, through a blog of a blog. When I was adopting internationally it was so easy to search and find people going through similar trials and tribulations, but there seemed to be very few foster care blogs and I am glad to have found yours. I am so very new to the foster process, but I just had my final social worker visit today so I hope to have some progress after such a long journey of waiting. Gee I really don't like waiting. :)
I think I did a blogger search for "foster" and found you that way. We are waiting for fost/adopt placement. I have LOVED reading your story!
I have been reading your blog for awhile-though I don't always leave a comment. I don't keep a blog myself-but someday I may. We are fostering and are newer at this--since spring of '07 we started-we have #4 and #5 foster children with us---2 little babies who we adore and hope to keep!! So far sent home 3, and it was very rough. But somehow we got thru it. I enjoy your blog and love reading all the comments too--lots of good info and advice!
found you blog surfing back when we became licensed foster parents and I was looking for some blogs to read about experiences in the foster care system. That was sometime around Oct-Dec 06 and we've had foster kids in our home since March of 07. Three so far, and two are still with us hopefully permanently although we don't know yet. Been reading your blog since we were licensed even though I hardly comment. =)
Got *your* comment regarding *my* comment :-)
Would love to email with you. I'm at booksandbairns at gmail
I'm a link follower, and glad I did when I wandered here a long time ago. Maybe you commented on my blog first... hmmmm... maybe I should ask how you found me? LOL
In honesty, it's nice to follow your experiences in fostering... especially after we had such a hard time with it (not the kid's fault at all, it was us and the whole process involved with it). I am glad you are on your way to becoming their forever mom!
I found you thru a google search. I was desperate to find other foster parents experiencing what I am experiencing. We have been fostering a little boy for a year since he was 2 days old.We just found out he will be going to a gma in the next 4 months. Nice to meet u!

Hi- I do not recall how I came to your blog. You were either listed on a "blog roll" or I linked to you from a comment on a different blog.
Anyhow, I booked marked your site since I will eventually be a foster mom. I'm currently working full time and going to school part-full time so I can have more of what I call a "normal" job.
While I try and read as many books as I can, I think reading blogs, such as yours, will help me be me "street-smart" when the time actually arrives.
Oh-and I forgot to note above about how I found your blog---found it from "Cookies Mom's" Blog--I linked to yours and have been reading about a yr or so I guess? and thanks for sharing your story and all the great comments which really help when you are new at this fostering thing!
I have been reading your blog for ages and ages, but not sure how I found it! I am Debbie from the UK.
I have been reading your blog since November. I have two little girls one is adopted. We are waiting for our license to Foster. I just started a blog. Not much to report at the moment because we are still waiting.
Count me as another one who can't remember how I found you. You've been on my bloglines for so long now that I don't even remember when I added you.
I am waiting for a placement right now.
I just started reading your blog and I found it through an internet search. My husband and I are going through the process of becoming licensed foster parents. We also hope to be able to adopt through foster care. Thanks for blogging about your experience - it is always encouraging to hear from others who have walked a path similar to what you are about it take. Congratulations on the news you got in court about Little Guy and Baby Girl!
Hi!
When we began our own foster care journey I googled "foster parent blog" and found your blog that way. I have enjoyed reading about your journey. Best wishes to you all!
Hi- I got to your blog while searching google for solutions for problems we were having with our foster daughter after visiting with her biological mother. Congrats on your little ones. Were going through the court process ourselves, and are hoping to adopt our little one. Thank you for your great blog.
I am a new blogger, but not new to fostering, we have been doing it for 19 years. We have 6 children, 3 birth, 3 adopted from foster care and we continue to do foster care. We just had one of our long term placements return home after 3 years with us (since she was 9 months). That has been the hardest experience ever and has caused a lot of burn out. We are currently deciding what we are going to do, a time of discernment.
I found your blog by clicking on my interests (foster parenting) which gave me a list of 65 blogs to check out. I will be adding yours to my favorites. I am just starting mine so I only havelike 4 entries. I have enjoyed reading yours.

Hi! I just recently started reading your blog as my husband and I are considering providing foster care. We have two children of our own and would love to help a kiddo in need of a good home environment. I found your blog through another blog. I have just been trying to find other Christian women out there who have done this.
I'm leaving my comment here since you asked (albeit back in JAN) who was reading. I'm catching up. :o)
