I am now a seasoned foster mom - my husband and I received our license in October 2005, and we began taking placements in January 2006. This blog will be my way to share my story, to air my grievances, to share in the joys of the children we take in. We are licensed for three under 3 yrs old, and are currently full!

Little Man's Trial...
...is almost over! What started out to be a 4 day trial has really drug on. This morning the state finished their cross-exam of birth mom. Feb. 20 the two lawyers will do their closing arguments, and on Feb. 22 the judge will render her verdict. So far, all state parties are confident that the judge will sign termination. But until we see the ink on the paper, we are still nervous. And now we have another couple of weeks to wait. It's been a crazy week and a half, and I've never had so many headaches in one week as this past one. But we are done for a while, and can finally get back into a normal routine with our kids. I'll keep you posted!

Oh!- am praying everything goes off without a hitch and Little Man is yours forever.-and it cannot be soon enough!
*fingers crossed* it all works out as it should.
Praying God will give you the desires of your heart. We just got our first foster care placement - a newborn baby boy! I love reading your updates!
I read a lot of your posts (starting like a year ago), up to today and saw where you asked us who are reading to post a comment. My hubby and I are trying to adopt through foster care. I found you through our common interest of foster/adopt. Congrats on Daniel and Gretchen! Did it confuse them to change names?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and offering up a prayer too!
Keep us posted.
