Well, we've got everything done on our end that we can get done. Our adoption support paperwork is in the hands of our social worker's office, and we are just waiting for the adoption support team to call us to go over the fine print. And then we will be assigned a court date for the finalization of the adoptions. I remember back in March, when we first started talking to our adoption caseworker. She said, oh, we'll have these kids adopted by June, July at the latest. We just nodded our heads and said, yea, right - we've heard that before. And don't you know, here it is almost September, and they are still not officially ours. Did we call it or what?
And in the meantime, since they are still technically foster children, we have no open beds, and cannot take any more in, even for respite care. So we wait, and wait, and wait some more. At this point, it looks like we probably won't have any new kiddos in our home until after the holidays. Which, according to my hubby, is just fine!

Oh how exciting that your adoption of the 3 kiddos is finally coming soon! I can't wait to see the pictures. :)
Yay! Adoptions getting closer! The state where I live termination to adoption goes soooooo fast! (but we take way longer to get to termination) In your blog and other's I read you guys are still waiting-at a time when we did not even get a TPR yet! Now we already finalized! Good FEELING and I hope you get that soon!!!
Oh, I'm so glad you gave an update!... I've been checking your blog for the past few weeks. I completely understand the waiting game. We are foster parents to a sweet baby boy who is six months old. He was placed with us when he was three days old and we were told then his case had a good chance of going through to adoption. We are still waiting for TPR, but I understand this can take awhile. Stay encouraged in knowing your precious children will soon be forever yours!
I came by for an update on your case, I pray it will happen soon for you and your kiddos. How does life go with them? you must be busy! We just passed our first anniversary of Jamies Adoption and we didn't even celebrate it! It's like she has always been ours.
Ours took 9 months from TPR! The waiting is a killer. I hope yours happens very soon!
Ok I already tried to leave a comment and don't think it posted. Please forgive me if this comes through twice, thrice or with several different comments!
I just wanted to tell you that I recently found your blog, and I love it. Your children are beautiful and I hope and pray that everything works out ok with you! We are currently waiting to be staffed on the kids that have been in our homes for almost 9 months now. We are so scared and excited. This is the most incredible journey ever - pregnancy has nothing on this! ;)
I can't wait to see your updates!
Praying and waiting along with you....
